Privacy Policy
Yonder is made by Wavelength Computing Co. (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Yonder apps for Mac, iPhone and iPad and this website.
The short version: your trips live on your devices and in your own iCloud account. There's no Yonder account, and we don't run a server that stores your trips. Yonder has no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
Your trips and saved places
Everything you put into Yonder, including trips, stays, notes, saved places and imported bookings, is stored on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, Yonder syncs it to your private iCloud database through Apple's CloudKit, so the same trips appear on your other devices. Apple stores that data under your Apple Account; we can't see it.
If you share a trip, the people you invite can see and edit it through iCloud sharing. You choose who to invite and can stop sharing at any time.
Location
Yonder asks for your location only when you use a feature that needs it, such as showing where you are on the map, and only while the app is in use. Your location isn't sent to us or stored by us.
Apple services the app uses
- Apple Maps for maps, place search and driving directions. Searches and route requests go to Apple.
- Apple WeatherKit for forecasts. The coordinates of the places you check go to Apple to get the weather.
- iCloud (CloudKit) for sync and sharing, as described above.
- In-App Purchase for the Yonder Lifetime unlock. Apple handles payment; we never see your payment details.

Screenshots and shared content
When you share a screenshot, link or place into Yonder, it's processed on your device. Text in screenshots is read on your device using Apple's built-in text recognition; images aren't uploaded to us.
Map layers
Map layers such as national forests, BLM land and cell coverage are downloaded as whole data files from our storage. The download doesn't include your location or your trips.
What we don't do
- No Yonder account or sign-up.
- No advertising, analytics or tracking software.
- No selling or sharing of your data.
Deleting your data
Delete a trip in the app to remove it from your devices and iCloud. To remove all of Yonder's iCloud data, delete the app's data in your device's iCloud storage settings, then delete the app.
Children
Yonder isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
